Weezer coming to the AMP on July 17 with Panic! At the Disco

Alternative rock band Weezer will perform at the Walmart AMP on Sunday, July 17.

The 40-plus city tour was announced Friday, and will include rock band Panic! At the Disco starting in early June.

The announcement comes just two days after Weezer’s web pages went all white – meaning their social media profile pictures, cover photos, and everything on their main website was replaced with a blank white image.

Some speculated the band was about to release a new color-titled album (possible called The White Album) to go along with previous releases The Blue Album, The Green Album, and The Red Album. Turns out it’s true.

Last year, Weezer released the singles “Thank God for Girls” and “Do You Wanna Get High?” but said the two new tracks weren’t necessarily part of any plans for a new album because the band was out of its record deal. Instead of finding a new label, Weezer will self-release The White Album on April 1. Pre-order is available now.

As for the live show, ticket pre-sales begin Jan. 19 for those on the band’s mailing list. Regular tickets range from $35.50 to $75, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22 at amptickets.com. Andrew McMahon in The Wilderness will open the show.
