A man died Wednesday after falling from a downed tree near Clear Creek Trail in Fayetteville, according to multiple reports.
Fayetteville police told reporters the man’s head hit a rock after falling from the tree which was leaning over Clear Creek just north of the Northwest Arkansas Mall.

Reports indicate the man’s shoes were hanging from the tree, and that he may have been relaxing or walking across the tree when he fell.
Police do not suspect foul play. The investigation is ongoing.
Update: Police on Monday identified the man as John Paul Bundy, 25, of Springdale.
