Game it Forward fundraiser set for March 4-5

A two day gaming event benefiting local students and teachers is coming up next month.

The event, called Game it Forward, is set for March 4-5 at the GP Event Center (1355 E Henri De Tonti Blvd.) in Springdale, and will feature an evening of board game playing for a cause.

There will be tournaments for more than $4,000 in prizes in games like Magic the Gathering Standard, Star Wars X-Wings, Weiss Schwarz, and Splendor.

More than 20 other games will also be demoed at the event, including Between Two Cities, Bomb Squad Academy, Bolt Action Miniatures, and more.

The event will also include an art show, silent auction, and food and drinks will be provided from several local restaurants.

Tickets are on sale now, and are $25 for a one day adult pass, and $30 for both days. Kids 10-15 get in with a $15 one day pass, or $18 for both days. Kids under 10 get in free.

Proceeds will benefit Project Teacher, a nonprofit organization focused on providing tools for teachers and school supplies for students in need.
