John Moreland, Gregory Alan Isakov, Old Crow Medicine Show added to Fayetteville Roots Fest lineup

With the initial release of artists like Hayes Carll, Shovels & Rope, The Milk Carton Kids, Amy Helm, and Birds of Chicago, we wondered last month if there was any way the Fayetteville Roots Festival lineup for 2016 could possibly get any better.

Then, it did.

After that incredible start, organizers went and added the likes of Gregory Alan Isakov, John Moreland, and Old Crow Medicine Show to the list of headliners for the festival, set for Aug. 25-28 at various locations around Fayetteville.

This year’s event kicks off with the annual VIP concert at the Garner Farm featuring performances by Peter Rowan, Jonathan Byrd, and The Wild Reeds.

Friday headliners include those same performers at the Fayetteville Town Center stage, plus Old Crow Medicine Show and Amy Helm.

Saturday at the Fayetteville Town Center, Isakov, The Milk Carton Kids, Shook Twins, Birds of Chicago, and We Dream Dawn will perform together on the festival main stage.

Sunday night headliners this year include Shovels & Rope, Hayes Carll, John Moreland, festival organizers Smokey & The Mirror, and and Hubby Jenkins.

For those looking for a preview of this year’s event, a Spotify playlist featuring this year’s headliners has been created.

We’ll have more on this year’s festival later this week.

Tickets range from $59 for a single-day pass, to $139 for a three-day pass. Four-day VIP passes are already sold out.

Tickets to the event are now on sale at fayettevilleroots.com.
