It’s going to be a busy weekend, y’all.

The 6th Annual Cow Paddy Run is set for Friday night at Gulley Park. There’s a 5k, a 1 mile fun run, and tons of adults and kids will be in cow costumes while they run. Proceeds from the event benefit the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.

Another local musician has found their way onto the popular TV show, The Voice. This time, it’s songwriter Trey O’Dell, who hopes to follow in the footsteps of Barrett Baber and find success on the show. To celebrate, O’Dell is performing Friday night at Core Public House in Fayetteville.

Also in music, troubadour and Fayetteville favorite Andy Frasco & the UN will be at George’s Friday night, and there’s a big show at Smoke & Barrel with Crescent City Combo along with Jack Grelle & Ryan Koenig from Pokey LaFarge’s band.

There’s a fun show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern Saturday night. Local hip hop trio Galaxy Tour Guides will perform a set, and will be debuting a new light-show to go along with their set. They’re planning to release a new EP this spring as well. Stay tuned for details on that.

Also Saturday night, Georgia producer heRobust is back in town for a show at George’s. It’s an 18 and up show, and tickets are $15.

At Walton Arts Center, R&B legend Mavis Staples & English singer/songwriter Nick Lowe will perform together Saturday night.
