SoNA to perform Masterworks II concert Saturday

Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will perform their second-to-last show of the season this weekend.

The symphony, led by music director Paul Haas, will perform a new show titled Masterworks II: Strings in the Spotlight at Walton Arts Center on Saturday, March 19.

The show will feature performances of Edward Elgar’s Serenade for Strings; Joseph Haydn’s final Symphony No. 104, London; and Jacques Ibert’s Concerto for Flute featuring SoNA’s principal flutist Virginia Broffitt Kunzer.

The local Ozark Philharmonic Youth Orchestra will also perform.

Ticket holders are also invited to attend a pre-concert Creative Conversation with Haas and several SoNA musicians before the show at 6:30 p.m.

The show is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
