New Flyer Sponsor: Damgoode Pies

Of all the foods in the world, not one is more delicious than the round, saucy, cheesy, dough-y deliciousness that is pizza-pie.

And of all the pizza makers out there, no one makes them better than the fine folks at Damgoode Pies.

Pizza from Damgoode Pies

The restaurant, founded in Little Rock in 2001, had built a cult following the likes of which we’d never seen even before they opened their first restaurant in Fayetteville in 2009.

Since then, they’ve consistently been named the best pizza in the state by just about anyone who conducts a readers poll. In fact, they just won “best pizza” in Arkansas Times’ 2016 readers poll, the ninth time that’s happened since 2005.

So what’s so good about it? Maybe it’s the sauce, of which they actually have eight varieties; original red, pink, spicy white, spicy alfredo, alfredo, pesto cream, pesto, and tomato basil.

It could also be the crust, which comes in either thin, hand tossed, or “stuffy,” which includes an extra layer of crust on top of the toppings (which gets covered over by sauce).

It’s quite possibly the ingredients, which are always incredibly fresh. Magic ovens? We don’t know how they do it, we just know it is amazing.

A ribbon cutting held this week to celebrate the new ownership

The Fayetteville location was recently purchased by long time local, Bill Karsten, who’s working hard to get the restaurant more involved in the community. Those who’ve been in recently might have noticed that the service has improved, and the interior of the restaurant has been freshened up a bit as well.

They’ve got some great specials, including all-day happy hour every Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday is “industry night,” with a 15% off for service industry employees. Kids eat for free on Thursday (w/ adult entree purchase, dine-in only), and every week they feature a signature pie and offer a 15% discount on any size.

Their delivery prices are some of the best in the business (just $2), and they offer catering with delivery to just about anywhere in NWA (including Rogers and Bentonville). They’ve got a new online ordering system that’s incredibly easy to use, too.

We’re thrilled to be working with them, and we hope you’ll help us welcome them to the Flyer Family by stopping by for lunch or dinner soon!
