Two Fayetteville High School students have achieved the top score on the ACT college entrance test.

FHS juniors Kyle Jiang and Meagan Olsen both scored a perfect 36 on the exam, the highest score possible on the test. Jiang and Olson become the sixth and seventh FHS students to achieve a perfect score since 2012.

“We are very proud of Kyle’s and Meagan’s accomplishments,” said FHS principal Dr. Chad Scott. “They are joining some truly elite company here at FHS and have helped further our school’s reputation as one of the top academic high schools in the state and nation.”

While the actual number of students earning a score of 36 varies each year, only about one-tenth of 1 percent achieve a top score.

Congrats to Kyle and Meagan on the rare achievement.
