Walton Arts Center officials this week announced that former Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan member Michael McDonald will play at the Walmart AMP on Friday, Aug. 12 along with Boz Scaggs.

Beyond his hits with The Doobies, McDonald has lent his voice to records by Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Vince Gill and Grizzly Bear.

Scaggs, who was once the lead vocalist for Steve Miller’s band, The Marksmen, also sang with the Steve Miller Band for two albums in the 1960s before landing several Top 20 hit singles as a solo musician in the 70s.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22. Prices range from $41 to $81 (plus fees) and can be purchased at the Walton Arts Center box office’s temporary location in Nadine Baum Studios, or by calling 479-443-5600. Online tickets will be available at amptickets.com.
