If you like theatre, this weekend in Fayetteville is for you.

For starters, Walton Arts Center has the hit musical The Bridges of Madison County all weekend. Also, TheatreSquared will conclude their run of Rapture Blister Burn at Nadine Baum Studios, and UA Theatre will perform the musical American Idiot featuring the music of Green Day.

It’s also the weekend for you if you like bike races. The annual Joe Martin Stage Race is happening in town all weekend. Here’s a list of events, with recommendations on where to watch the action.

Music-wise, local prog rock Terminus will celebrate the release of their new EP, Safe Travels, See You Never, on Friday night at Ryleigh’s with Little Rock band, Recognizer.

For bands with the word whiskey in their name, locals Whiskey Grin are at Kingfish, and Texas-based country/southern rock band Whiskey Myers is at George’s.

Wanna race? The annual Root Rocket 5k run is set for 8 a.m. on Saturday morning at Root Elementary School. Here’s a bit more about that.

Also in family fun, the annual Champion for Kids Razorfest begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of Razorback Stadium. The event features games, inflatables, performances, and autographs from Razorback players and mascots. After that, the Razorback Football team will host their annual spring football game at noon.

The Inverse Performance Art Festival will make their Fayetteville debut on Saturday with a “performance walk” at a host of venues in and around the downtown area. Here’s more info.

Music-wise, there are some good shows in Fayetteville Saturday night with Joplin rockers Me Like Bees at Smoke & Barrel, and Texas-based country artist William Clark Green at George’s.

Just up the road in Bentonville, Crystal Bridges will host an Art Night Out Event, featuring live music by excellent locals Smokey & The Mirror, and Little Rockers Amasa Hines. Here’s more.
