Music schedule released for 2016 Block Street Block Party

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Tuesday, May 10, 2016

The soundtrack for one of Fayetteville’s biggest parties has been released.

Organizers of the annual Block Street Block Party last week announced the stage schedule for the festival, and as always, Block Avenue is going to be rocking again this spring.

Over 40 bands, DJs, and solo acts will perform on six stages this year during the event, set for Sunday, May 22 from noon until dark.

In addition, the party will feature fashion shows, dance troupes, tons of artists and crafters showcasing their wares, activities at booths and businesses along the street, a high heel race, a “diaper derby,” a waiter’s race, a “Purple Reign” parade, and more.

Also this year, there will be a zip line over Block Avenue (weather permitting), baby goats to snuggle and pet, and several other activities planned along Fayetteville’s funky little avenue.
