Do you know where your food comes from? If not, you can find out first-hand next month.

That’s when local co-op Ozark Natural Foods will host their semi-annual visit to several local producers as part of their Tour de Farm series June 11-12.

The tour will visit 19 farms and businesses in Fayetteville, Springdale, and the surrounding communities.

This year’s tour is organized in manageable blocks by proximity. For example, participants can choose the “Team Fayetteville” tour on June 11 and visit Roots in Bloom in West Fork, Across the Creek Farm in Greenland, along with Cobblestone Farm, Honeysuckle Garden, and Tri Cycle Farms in Fayetteville all in the same day.

Other blocks include the Team Springdale Tour, the Team Huntsville Tour, and the Team Eureka tour.

Tour de Farms is a free event but anyone wanting to participate will need to register by June 9 at the Owner Services Desk inside the store, or by calling 479-521-7558.

Participants are required to pick up their Tour de Farms passport the week of the event, which includes a map, and a place to get stamped when you visit a farm. Passports will be available for pickup on June 1.

After finishing the tour, participants can turn in their passport for a chance to win prizes, including a $100 shopping spree at Ozark Natural Foods.

The person who visits the most farms will win a $150 farm and garden prize package with tools, seeds, soil amendments and other goodies.
