It’s the first Thursday of the month, and that means its time to party on the square in downtown Fayetteville.

First Thursday Fayetteville is set for tonight (June 2), and this months’ family festival, live music, and art walk on the square has a “great outdoors” theme.

Representatives from the Fayetteville Disc Golf Association, Fayetteville Parks & Rec, Fayettechill, and others will be on hand to help highlight all the activities the Ozarks have to offer at the event.

There will be live music with local rockabilly band The Silvershakers set to perform on the mainstage at 7 p.m., and Super Steve will be on the kids stage with his Super Science interactive science-themed show.

Several local food trucks will be set up on the square as well, and the beer garden on Town Center Plaza this month will feature local brews from Core and Apple Blossom.

As always, there will be an art walk around the square featuring dozens of local artists and crafters set up in booths along the street.

Two new shows opens at Fayetteville Underground tonight as well, including a retrospective show on the life and career of artist Tim West, and Water Works, featuring 20 years of watercolor paintings by Terry Shoffner. More info about both artists and their work is available at fayettevilleunderground.org.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. For a bit more info, visit firstthursdayfayetteville.com.
