TRAIL TOUR: Take a photo tour of the new Town Branch Trail in south Fayetteville

City officials will celebrate the completion of the Town Branch Trail during a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9 at Greathouse Park in south Fayetteville.

The 2.2-mile trail runs from Frisco Trail just south of Walker Park to Tsa La Gi Trail near the Interstate 49 interchange at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The 12-foot-wide concrete path follows the natural scenic corridor of the Town Branch Creek, and includes LED lighting along the entire length of the trail.

The path connects to the southern end of the Razorback Regional Greenway and continues west, passing under Highway 71 (South School Avenue), through Greathouse Park, across Razorback Road, and then turns north to connect with Tsa La Gi Trail at Hollywood Avenue.

Once the final link in the Tsa La Gi Trail is complete, the paths will make a 5-mile loop beginning just south of the Frisco Trail tunnel under MLK Jr. Boulevard. For now, an alternate route is possible using Beechwood Avenue, Baum Drive, and the paths along Razorback Road (see map above).

Start at Frisco Trail at Walker Park and 15th Street
