Gregg Avenue street work to close lanes through mid-August

Drivers on North Gregg Avenue will soon notice temporary lane closures between North and Township streets.

An asphalt overlay project is scheduled to begin Monday, July 11, according to officials. The work is expected to last about 30 days.

Single lanes will be closed on Gregg on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Lanes will be reopened on nights and weekends.

From a news release:

The City of Fayetteville is utilizing funds from the Arkansas’s State Aid City Street Fund to overlay and rehabilitate four lanes of N. Gregg Avenue from W. North Street to Township Street. City crews will conduct asphalt milling and subgrade work; a contractor will perform the remainder of the work. On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding as work is performed in this area.
