Fayetteville Farmers’ Market to host Salsa Fest July 30

Mark your calendars, salsa fans.

Fayetteville Farmers’ Market is set to host their annual salsa festival and competition on Saturday, July 30 on Town Center Plaza in downtown Fayetteville.

The event, appropriately named Salsa Fest, features samples of salsa made by local restaurants and farmers’ market vendors, as well as a a pepper jelly competition, tomato tastings, a scavenger hung, live music by Mariachi Esencia de América and more.

Participants in the salsa competition this year include Flying Burrito Co., Greenhouse Grille, Mockingbird Kitchen, Burrito Loco, and others.

Attendees will be able to try out salsas from all the competitors, and vote for their favorite to determine a people’s choice winner.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m., and is free to attend and open to the public.
