Longtime local sign painter Joe Alexander will exhibit a collection of his oil paintings on Friday night at Local Color Gallery. The opening reception starts at 6 p.m. on Friday night, and drinks and snacks will be served. Here’s more information.

If you’re in the mood for jokes, you can check out a comedy show at Ryleigh’s. The NWA / OKC Comedy Collision, as the name suggests, featuring local and central Oklahoma comedians, is set for 7 p.m. Admission’s $5.

In tunes, local band Vintage Pistol will celebrate the release of their second EP Friday night at George’s. Admission is $5, and the first 50 attendees get a free EP. Locals Space4Lease and Randall Shreve are also on the bill.

Football season is right around the corner, and Razorback Fan Day is set for 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14 at Razorback Stadium. Fans in attendance will receive a commemorative poster featuring the 2016-17 Razorbacks, and will be able to seek autographs from Coach Bielema and their favorite Razorback players.
