The Goo Goo Dolls have been performing together for 30 years, and part of the celebration includes a stop at the AMP next week.
The band will be at the venue on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the show.
The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band has sold over 10 million albums since first forming in 1986. While the group is responsible for several hit singles, they’re best known for “Iris,” a song originally written for the soundtrack of the 1998 film City of Angels and later included on the band’s sixth album Dizzy Up the Girl.
The group has since recorded five more albums, including Boxes, which was released last month through Warner Bros. Records.
Special guests Collective Soul will open the show.
Tickets are $35.50-$61.50, on sale now at amptickets.com.
Of course, you could just save your money, and be the lucky winner of our little giveaway. Good luck.
How to enter
It’s been a long time since we’ve asked this question, but it’s one of our favorite discussions. What is something that Fayetteville needs? Is it an Ethiopian restaurant? A signature piece of public art in the downtown area? More frozen yogurt shops? Leave a comment telling us what you think’s missing from this sweetheart of a city, and you’re entered.
What you’ll win
One (1) winner chosen at random will win two (2) general admission tickets to the Goo Goo Dolls show on Sept. 6 at the AMP.
A few rules (read ‘em carefully):
- You may only enter this specific contest once.
- This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, Walton Arts Center employees, AMP employees, and their immediate family members.
- Contest is open until noon p.m. CST on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won (You don’t have to put your email address in the actual comment. Just leave it in the field that says “Email.”) Once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to respond via email to claim your prize.
- You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.
