Do you enjoy drinking locally brewed beer? Are you a fan of Bavarian culture? Are you free on Sunday?

If you answered yes to two or more of the above questions, you might be interested in a little party coming up in Fayetteville this weekend.

Dickson Street Oktoberfest is set for Sunday, Sept. 18 in the Walton Arts Center parking lot.

The event will include beer from 13 local and regional breweries including Ozark Beer Company, Damgoode Pies, New Province Brewing Company, and several others, as well as live music by Lost John, Rochelle Bradshaw and Hypnotion, Mudhawk, and The Silvershakers.

It is a family-friendly festival, which will include free kids’ activities, a photo booth, as well as local arts and craft booths to check out as well including local makers Flora and Fauuna, Be Good Natured, Ozark Herbal Creations, Neon Glittery, and Doss Haus. Local organization Art Feeds is planning to build gnome dwellings on site, with bears, hats, and mini gnome dwellings as take home crafts for the kiddos. Ozark Natural Foods is planning a caramel apple building tent at the event as well.

Food vendors this year include Little Bread Co. (making those soft pretzels they made last year), The Green Goat, Blackboard, Swalty Kettle Corn, Peddle Pops, Burton’s Creamery, and several others.

Admission is $5, and the event is free for kids 17 and under.

Beer tokens are $5, good for one 12 oz fill from any of the participating breweries.

The fun begins at noon, and runs until about 6 p.m. The full music and brewery lineups are listed below. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Arkansas Brewers Guild.
