Police release stats for first day of Bikes, Blues & BBQ

There were no arrests, no motorcycle wrecks, and no reports of stolen motorcycles on the first day of the 2016 Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally, according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department.

A Springdale motorcyclist was cited for disobeying a stop sign at Spring Street and East Avenue, according to release.

To compare, there were five arrests on the first day of the rally last year and no wrecks.

This year’s rally continues through Saturday with various events scheduled on Dickson Street, Baum Stadium, the Washington County Fairgrounds, and in Springdale at Arvest Ballpark.
