Last Night Fayetteville releases lineup for New Year’s Eve Celebration

The holiday season is fast approaching, and we’re just a turkey dinner and a visit from old Santa Claus away from ringing in another New Year in Fayetteville.

Luckily, the folks behind the annual Last Night Fayetteville New Year’s Eve celebration are already planning the party.

The organization recently announced the lineup for this year’s event, set for Saturday, Dec. 31 on the Fayetteville square.

Mainstage headliners this year include local bluegrass band Arkansauce, rockabilly act The Silvershakers, and the return of folk duo Handmade Moments, who will be back in action after recovering from their terrifying car accident last year.

The main stage is typically at the Fayetteville Town Center, and seven other stages of entertainment are also planned at various locations around the square.

Those stages will include an aerial stage featuring the Nimbus Circus, a rock stage featuring local bands May the Peace of the Sea Be With You, Pagiins, Witchsister, and The Hudson Outfit, a comedy stage featuring Comedians NWA, That’s What She Said, and Roughhouse Comedy Collective, a theatre stage, a folk stage, a cabaret stage, and a kid’s stage.

A “Hog drop,” (similar to the ball-drop in Times Square) featuring a 8.5-foot-long hog sculpture is set for at midnight as attendees count down the arrival of the New Year, and there will be a fireworks display finale as well.

The event begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, and the entertainment will take place at various indoor venues around the square. Specific venues and a more detailed schedule will be released at a later date.

The full lineup of entertainers planned for this year’s event is below.

General admission tickets to Last Night Fayetteville are $25 through Nov. 19, and go up to $30 after that (plus fees). Kid tickets are $5.
