FLYER CALENDAR: Gravedancer to perform on Singled Out Nov. 11

Fayetteville acoustic group Gravedancer will perform on the latest live taping of Singled Out at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 inside the Artist’s Laboratory Theatre, 1030 S. College Avenue.

From the Flyer Calendar:

Gravedancer is a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based acoustic group performing deeply personal songs written by Baker McKinney, a former soldier who spent several years as a full-time touring musician. The songs discuss the subjects of guilt, estrangement, and substance abuse that he has experienced in his life.

Mckinney’s Gravedancer EP album, released earlier this year, includes a string section with violin, cello, and upright bass. The album is a collaboration with several Fayetteville musicians, including Nick Futch (percussion and engineering), Cheyenne McCoy (cello, vocals), Chris Overcash (violin), Mark Landry (upright bass), Jason Norton (lap Steel, guitar, mandolin), Tyler Tradewell (keyboard), Nick Shoulders (banjo, harmonica), and Zach Coger (percussion).

Through musical performances and interviews with popular regional bands, host Adam Cox gets to the heart of each group by “singling out” each individual musician for their talents, personal stories, and sources of inspiration.

Singled Out is one of two Sunday Night Service performances produced by Artist’s Laboratory Theatre that also includes “The All You Need to Know Show.” Each show is recorded live and later aired on KUAF 91.3 public radio every Sunday at 7 p.m.
