Goats to return to Wilson Park to clear invasive species

A group of plant-eating goats are scheduled to return to Fayetteville’s Wilson Park this week to help clear invasive species from the area.

The Greedy Goats of NWA will be working to clear honeysuckle, privet, and other invasive plants from the south side of the park near Louise Avenue beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 15 through Saturday, Nov. 19.

It’s their third visit to the park this year. The goats also worked to clear areas of the park back in May and July.

The animals will be working daily from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, weather permitting.

The community is invited to watch the animals at work. A temporary electric fence will be erected to help safely contain the goats and their owners will be on the site during work hours.
