Movie lovers in Fayetteville will soon be a little more comfortable, and less thirsty, when they head out to the theater.

That’s because Malco Theatres Inc., the company behind Fayetteville movie theater Malco Razorback 16, this week announced plans to renovate their local theater to add reclining seats, food service, and alcoholic beverages to their movie-going experience.

According to a the NWA Business Journal, the renovations will include “VIP” reclined seating, complete with side tables for food and drink, as well as a bar for beer, wine, and mixed drink service.

In addition, the theaters will expand their kitchens to be able to offer a food menu of “gourmet quick-casual selections.”

The company also plans to upgrade their theaters in Rogers and Fort Smith with the new features.

Construction is set to begin in early 2017, and the renovations will take about three months to complete. The theater will remain open during renovation.
