City seeks holiday gift donations for seniors

The Fayetteville Community Resources Division is seeking gift donations for senior residents for the 10th Annual Senior Giving Tree program.

“This time of year can be particularly hard for seniors, and contributions can help make the holidays a little bit brighter,” said Yolanda Fields, Community Resources Director.

Fields said the gifts will be delivered to homebound participants of the Meals on Wheels program.

Gift ideas include robes, nightgowns, house slippers, blankets, crossword puzzles, emergency radios, batteries, nightlights, first aid kits, and gift cards. Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase gifts.

Unwrapped gifts will be accepted at the Community Resources office, 125 W. Mountain Street, through Monday, Dec. 5.
