Over the next few weeks, there are several local arts and craft markets, art sales, and bazaars planned around town, featuring talented artists and makers selling their paintings, pottery, jewelry, home decor, and more.

Oh Local Night
When: Thursday, Dec. 1
Where: Downtown businesses
Info: The businesses along Block Avenue and around the square are hosting a new holiday shopping event this year called Oh Local Night. Most of the businesses will have some kind of special event inside their stores, including an ornament pop-up shop featuring handmade ornamnets by local makers at Maxine’s Tap Room, a cookie decorating bar at Little Bread Co., a hot cocoa bar at Riffraff, a gift wrap station/wine tasting at Good Things Boutique, and other fun stuff. Fayetteville Underground Holiday Art Sale
When: Thursday, Dec. 1
Where: Fayetteville Underground
Info: Fayetteville Underground will kick off their annual holiday art sale with a reception on Thursday, Dec. 1.The Underground will feature art from more than 40 local artists, including Knitwear by Morgan Bame, tees from Tricycle Farms, glitch prints by Dillan Dooms, torn paper art by Monica Jordan, jewelry by Cheri Bohn, woodworks by Steve Holst, stickers by Emily Chase, and more. After the opening reception, the gallery will be open extended hours for the month of Dec., every Wednesday – Saturday 10 a.m.– 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Holiday pop-up shop
When: Dec. 1 from 6-9 p.m.; Friday, Dec 2 from 6-9 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 12-3 p.m.
Where: Stage 18
Info: New venue Stage 18 will host a pop up shop and arts and crafts sale featuring a host of local artists, including Ed Pennebaker, Lauren Embree Jewelry, Stephanie Petet , Elise Raborg, Christina Marie Blackwood, Mike Pennekamp, Grant Baker, Mikayla Hoffman, Helen Maringer, Parker Boales, Rainy Rues, Elizabeth Sharp, A.j. Douglas, and Cheri Bohn. The opening event on Thursday will also feature live jazz by Drew Packard from 6-9 p.m., brews by Lost 40 and Loblolly ice cream.
Holiday Art Sale
When: Thursday, Dec. 1
Where: Nomad’s Music Lounge
Info: An art sale featuring prints, photos, sculptures, crafts, and more from a host of local artists including Kim Tomlinson, Esther Nooner, Jaimee Benson, Brandon Bullette, Mikayla Hoffman, Brittany Cusanek, EE Gardner, Cory Perry, Wanbli Gamache, and Mary Reid.
Holiday Art Sale
When: Friday, Dec. 2 from 7-9 p.m., Saturday Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday Dec. 4 from 12-4 p.m.

Info: One of the oldest local holiday art and craft markets around. Bridge of Peace Holiday Craft Sale
When: Sunday, Dec. 4
Where: Nature’s Water
Info: A holiday craft sale benefiting refugee camps in Syria and Turkey featuring 50 heart-shaped art pieces decorated from recycled material and recycled wood with messages of love and peace by artist Erica Doer, large ceramic bells by artist John Ward, carved wooden cooking utensils by Steve Holst and Maeve Corteau, art by Elizabeth Nevin, jewelry, winter hats, gloves and more.
NWACCC Holiday Gift Market
When: Through Dec. 23
Where: McBride Studio, inside the Walton Arts Center
Info: Community Creative Center is partnering with Walton Art Center to present the second annual Holiday Gift Market. The market offers fine quality arts and crafts created by local artists including pottery, jewelry, prints, decorative items and wearable art. Craft Addicts Handmade Holiday Sale
When: Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: B Unlimited Building (612 W. Center St.)
Info: Several local artists are planning a new holiday market in the B Unlimited Building this year. The Craft Addicts Handmade Holiday Sale will include stuffed animals, flowers, handcrafted body products, fine art paintings and prints, pottery, tea towels, knitwear, and and other items by local artists. St. Paul’s Alternative Gift Market
When: Sunday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 224 N. East Ave.
Info: St. Paul’s Alternative Gift Market is an opportunity to support various life-giving projects. Wampus Wonderland

Fenix Fayetteville

Info: A new artist collective called Fenix Fayetteville is hosting a holiday art sale at the Beaver Electric Building in Downtown Fayetteville. The sale kicks off on Friday, December 9 with a ticketed pre-sale event featuring live music, live painting, door prizes, and drinks. From Saturday, December 10, until Sunday, December 18, the gallery will be open 11-8 every day with several works for sale including paintings, photography,textile and glass arts, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, ornaments, prints, and more.
