A 36-year-old woman from Topeka, Kansas who was struck by a car while trying to cross Wedington Drive Tuesday night has died from her injuries.

According to a news release, Pamela Wilson was attempting to cross Wedington Drive near the intersection of Steamboat Drive where there is no crosswalk when she was hit by a 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 19-year-old Fayetteville man. The accident occurred at 7:23 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, according to Sgt. Craig Stout.
Stout said Wilson was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where she later died.
The investigation is continuing.
