The holiday season is in full swing, and local theatre troupe TheatreSquared is performing the Dickens classic Great Expectations this year at Nadine Baum Studios. There are several chances to check it out this weekend. Here’s a link to the schedule.
Fossil Cove brewery just released a new coffee IPA, and they’re celebrating with an Ugly Sweater Party Friday night. There will be music by Opal Agafia & The Sweet Nothings, and the beer will flow like…beer.
Music-wise, local hip-hop-rockers Galaxy Tour Guides will perform at Smoke & Barrel, Austin, Texas-based band The Austin Lounge Lizards will perform at The Fayetteville Public Library, and guitar hero Steve Kimock is back in town for the first time in a while for a show at George’s.

There are a handful of holiday local arts & crafts shows happening around town in the coming weeks, and one of the longest running local shows is taking place this weekend. It’s called the Holiday Art Sale (formerly the Block Street Art Sale), and it’s happening at Studio 545 (545 W. Center Street) this year. More info is available here.
The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market will be set up in their new winter home inside The Homestead at Ozark Natural Foods beginning on Saturday. It’s a couple doors down from the coop.
Symphony-wise, SoNA will be performing their annual holiday show A Very SoNA Christmas twice on Saturday (2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) at Walton Arts Center. Last we heard, there were a few tickets left.
Maxine’s Tap Room also has a Sunday night show with Junior Soapbox.
