The Fayetteville Animal Shelter will offer $10 adoptions on Saturday, Dec. 10 as part of a holiday celebration that will include a visit from Santa Claus.

Santa will pose for photos with pets, children and adults from 10 a.m. to noon.

The special $10 adoption fee includes all available cats and dogs, and lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“This is a busy time of year and we want to encourage people who are thinking about adopting a pet for the holidays to do so now – when there is a little more time to commit for training and bonding with a new pet,” said Justine Lentz, the city’s animal services superintendent.

For more information about the adoption process and to view adoptable pets, visit fayetteville-ar.gov. The shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
