UPDATE: This closure has been delayed due to expected inclement weather, according to a news release issued mid-Monday.
A portion of Old Wire Road will close for about two weeks while state highway crews work to widen and re-align the roadway near Mission Boulevard.
According to a news release, Old Wire Road will be closed from Mission to Calvin Street beginning Monday, Dec. 5. The work is expected to last through Dec. 19 and will require closure of Old Wire 24 hours a day, including weekends.

Detour routes will be marked, the release stated. Suggested routes include using Ranch Drive or Broadview Drive.
