Festival to highlight public, private, and home school choices

A new organization created to help families learn more about the school choices in Northwest Arkansas will host its first event next month.

The inaugural Northwest Arkansas School Choice Festival is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 14 at The Jones Center, 922 E. Emma Ave. in Springdale.

Representatives from schools in Washington and Benton counties have been invited to the event to highlight each private, public and home school’s educational programs and services to showcase their achievements and share what they have to offer.

College planning and financial aid presentations will take place in the chapel, and a scholarship fair will connect applicants with scholarship providers. The festival will include giveaways, arts and crafts, live music, and refreshments. Swimming is free at The Jones Center during the event.

Family to the festival is free, and the first 500 families will receive a swag bag filled with promotional materials and information about the schools in attendance.
