Another year, another incredible lineup at Fayetteville Roots Festival.
It will be the first appearance at Fayetteville Roots Festival for Iron & Wine, the indie act and solo project by songwriter Sam Beam.
Folk groups The Wood Brothers and Elephant Revival have performed at the event in the past, and John Fullbright, Joe Purdy, Matt the Electrician, The Honey Dewdrops, and of course, festival organizers Smokey & The Mirror, should all be familiar names to folks who follow the festival.
Newcomers this year include Crowell, the songwriter well known for his own work as well as for a string of hits he has written for other artists, John Paul White, half of the acclaimed Americana duo The Civil Wars, and Dead Man Winter, the solo project of Trampled By Turtles frontman Dave Simonett.
Local acts who will be performing at the festival this year include Earl & Them, Dana Louise & The Glorious Birds, Shawn James (who actually just moved away from Fayetteville), and Jack Williams.
The full lineup released so far is listed below, and there may be a few additional artists added to the lineup between now and the actual event.
Fayetteville Roots Festival is set for Aug. 24-27 at various venues around Fayetteville. In addition to the music, the event also emphasizes local food and includes chef competitions, and other highlights.
Early bird tickets are on sale now, and begin at $59 for a one-day pass up to $239 for a four-day VIP pass.
