Willie Watson to perform on Mount Sequoyah Feb. 14

If you’ve always wanted to spend Valentine’s Day with songwriter Willie Watson, well, you might just get your wish this year in Fayetteville.

The former member of Old Crow Medicine Show, who has made his mark as a solo act in recent years, is set to perform with local band Arkansauce on Feb. 14 at Auditorium 51, on the grounds of the Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center.

The show is being organized by some of the folks behind Homegrown Music Festival, the music event that debuted last summer at Byrd’s Adventure Center. According to the website, the event may be the first of more concerts to be held on Mount Sequoyah in the future.

Beer and wine will be served at the event, but you’ll need to bring your own 16-oz. cup or be prepared to buy one. No single-use plastics will be allowed.

Tickets to the show are $20, on sale here.
