Saturday, Feb. 11

Adam Torres / Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster

For the middle of February, Saturday night is pretty packed with great entertainment options this week.

There’s a great-sounding show at the new Stage 18 venue on the square. Songwriter Adam Torres is in town for a show, along with Water Liars singer/songwriter Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster. Admission is $10 at the door.

There’s a huge hip-hop show at Smoke & Barrel with Little Rock group Young Gods of America. Their producer, Idle Kid, has a track on the new Kid Cudi album, and rapper Goon des Garcons from the band has been blowing up online lately as well. Check this out (and this). Good, good stuff.

Nomad’s has a punk rock show with Crackrock, Esc, and Ten High, and locals Goose are back in action at George’s.

Also Saturday night, Prison Stories Project has a new performance of Stories From the Inside Out at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, featuring real stories from incarcerated ladies from the local prison. It starts at 7 p.m. Here’s more info.
