Fayetteville launches redesigned city website

City of Fayetteville

Fayetteville officials this week launched a new city government website that features a more modern design with video banners, updated graphic buttons and a new layout.

Susan Norton, the city’s director of communications, said the move comes as Fayetteville is increasing efforts to create a cohesive, familiar brand through photography, color palette and logo selection.

“Fayetteville is a forward-thinking community and it’s important that our technology presence reflects that,” Norton said. “We have an abundance of tech-savvy residents who expect to find reliable, well-curated content through this platform. Transparency is our priority.”

Norton said an emphasis was placed on navigation and prioritization of content based on the behavior of the different users of the previous site.

“Through analytics, we can see more than 60 percent of our visitors come from outside the city,” Norton said. “It was important for us to build a site that not only makes it easy to access the basic services for residents but also serves as an inviting front door for visitors.”
