Senator to host town hall Feb. 22 in Springdale

Update 3 (Monday, 4:35 p.m.): It appears as though the meeting has been moved back to Springdale, and will take place at the Pat Walker Performing Arts Center at Springdale High School.

Cotton announced the change via his Facebook page.

“My town hall will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Pat Walker Performing Arts Center on the campus of Springdale High School. I appreciate your patience as we’ve changed venues over the past few days. On Sunday evening, the Bentonville school board approved the use of the Arend Arts Center, but they withdrew their offer after the Bentonville police chief expressed concerns over security. I’m grateful the Springdale School Board has made their larger facility available. I hope to see you on Wednesday!”

Doors to the facility will open at 4:45 p.m. Springdale High School is located at 101 S. Pleasant Dr. in Springdale, AR.

Update 2: Stop the presses. As of late afternoon on Monday, the planned Town Hall meeting with Sen. Tom Cotton is still in search of a venue. According to a report by KNWA on Monday, Bentonville Public Schools (who opeartes the Arend Arts Center) said the “tentatively” scheduled Town Hall with Cotton will not be at the Arend Arts Center due to “insufficient time to make arrangements for the visit.”
