Another Fayetteville movie theatre is getting a serious facelift.

AMC Theatres today announced plans to renovate their AMC Fiesta Square 16 location.

The announcement comes just a few months after the only other movie theater in Fayetteville, Malco Theaters, announced a similar project.

The AMC renovations will include the addition of plush recliners, reserved seating, expanded food and beverage options, online ticketing, ticketless entry, and other amenities.

In addition, all of the screens will get updated equipment and sound systems, and the interior will get new carpet and a fresh coat of paint.

AMC says it’s also considering adding its MacGuffins adult beverage concept to the theatre, which would add beer, wine, and cocktail service to the experience. The company has already applied for a Large Attendance Facility alcohol permit, according to records obtained from the state’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.

The renovations will be completed in phases to allow the theater to remain open.

Work has already begun, and the project is slated to be completed this summer.
