A Dickson Street restaurant will close its doors soon.

Kraken Killer Seafood, the restaurant located at 402 W. Dickson Street, is set to close after about a year in business. The restaurant specialized in crab legs, shrimp, po’ boy sandwiches, and fried seafood dishes.

Owner Cory Tran said he sold the rights to lease the space, and plans to invest the money in a new venture he’s working on.

Local businessman Dave Bass, who also owns Stir and Shots on Dickson Street, has leased the space from owner Zac Wooden, and plans to open a new project. We’re told the new place will have a “western” theme.

The Kraken will officially close on Sunday, Feb. 26.
