Fayetteville Farmers’ Market returns to the square Saturday, April 1

Spring appears to be springing a bit early this year, and all this warm weather already has us asking ourselves, “When’s the Farmers’ Market coming back to the square, anyway?”

The answer is Saturday, April 1.

After that, the market will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday, and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday on the square.

The market has been open during the winter at a new home at Ozark Natural Foods this year, which is awesome, but there’s really no substitute for a sunny Saturday morning at the market on the square.

For those who aren’t familiar, the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market includes around 60 vendors each year selling all kinds of locally-grown flowers, produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, plants, and arts and crafts.

In addition, there are typically musicians performing on each corner, community groups passing out brochures, politicians kissing babies, and tons of people circling the square in the warm spring air while browsing the locally-grown awesomeness.

It’s pretty great. And it’s almost here.
