Weekend Flyer: Cold War Kids, That 1 Guy, Daikaiju and more

Classic 80s film Dirty Dancing now has a stage version, and the tour is in Fayetteville this weekend for a run at Walton Arts Center. Here’s more info.

Music-wise, there’s an EDM show at George’s with ill.Gates, and Smoke & Barrel has Tennessee Country act Urban Pioneers along with Central Arkansas band, Whole Famn Damily.

Beer-wise, local brewery Fossil Cove will celebrate the return of their Hoppy Wheat beer to the seasonal lineup with a release party featuring live music by High Lonesome.

The annual Highway 71 Classic Bike ride is set for Sunday morning. It’s a fun group bike ride, and it benefits the local bicycle coalition. It starts at 9 a.m. at Walker Park. Here’s more info.

There’s a Buffalo River benefit at George’s Majestic Lounge on Sunday night featuring great New Orleans Zydeco band, Sunpie & The Louisiana Sunspots.

Also Sunday night, the masked men behind Daikaiju will be melting faces once again at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.

At Maxine’s, local supergroup Isayah’s All Stars will perform at around 7 p.m. As always, there is no cover.
