Weekend Flyer: St. Patrick’s Day, Cow Paddy Run, Mid South DIY Fest, and more

Friday, March 17

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone. Hope you all get to kiss a consenting Irish person this weekend.

There are several St. Paddy’s day-related events around town, including the annual Pub Crawl on Dickson Street beginning at 6 p.m. Crawlers pick up a passport at Hog Haus, and then make their way to a bunch of Dickson Street bars to get their stamps, and then return the passport to Hog Haus at the end of the night for a commemorative t-shirt. Here’s more info.

There’s also no cover for traditional Irish Music at Maxine’s Tap Room, and Core is hosting a St. Paddy’s Day Pub Party at their Fayetteville location in Uptown.

Some local musicians have put together a Prince tribute band, and they’ll be playing some hits at George’s. Here’s ticket info.

Also this weekend, Artist Laboratory Theatre will debut a new show titled Bango! As the name suggests, it’s a Bingo themed show, where actors will perform up to 40 microplays determined each time a bingo ball is selected. Tickets are $10, or $8 for cyclists or pedestrians.

The annual Cow Paddy Run 5K is also on Friday night at Gulley Park. The race will be raising funds for the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.
