Arkansas Brewgrass festival set for May 6 at Washington County Fairgrounds

There’s a new beer and bluegrass festival making its Fayetteville debut next week.

Arkansas Brewgrass Festival, an event that got its start in Rogers in 2016, is moving to Fayetteville and will take place on Saturday, May 6 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The event, as the name suggests, will feature local brews from 10 Arkansas Breweries, along with live music, pony rides, a carnival of local arts & crafts, and more.

Participating breweries this year include Apple Blossom Brewing Co., Bentonville Brewing, Bubba’s Brews, Columbus House, Core, Diamond Bear, Fossil Cove, Lost Forty, Saddlebock and Stone’s Throw. Attendees can purchase wooden nickels for $4, redeemable for one 12 oz beer. You’ll also be able to purchase a 16 oz Mason jar at the event, and those can also be filled with the same $4 tokens.

Musical performers include Public Domain, East of Zion, Outlaw Hippies, and Ben Miller Band (full music schedule below).

There will also be plenty of local food vendors, including Blackboard Grocery, Burton’s Creamery, Green Goat, Pop’s BBQ, Sparks Wood Fired Pizza, and Dickson Street Dogs.

Also this year, the folks from Catywampus Co-op will be hosting their first ever Catty Carnival on the grounds of the event, featuring locally-made arts & crafts, games, and prizes by the folks who organized the Wampus Wonderland holiday art show last year.

There will be pony rides and a petting zoo for the kiddos, and free bingo in the beer hall. There will also be a special 21+ arcade bar sponsored by the Pinpoint Fayetteville, the new pinball bar set to open on Block Avenue this summer.

Honestly, what else do you want?

Admission is $12 for adults over 18 at the door, and $10 with a canned food item. Kids under 18 get in for free. The food drive will benefit 7 Hills Homeless center.
