Hogs, Trike Theatre, and some other cool stuff. Here’s more info.

Some standout performers from Fayetteville Roots Festival are back in town for a show on Friday night. Birds of Chicago will perform at the new(ish) venue, Stage 18, on Center Street with fellow Roots Fest vet, Raina Rose. Tickets are $18. Here’s a bit more info.

High energy performers Calliope Musicals are back in town for a house show at The Syc House Friday night. Just watch this.

The UA’s Springtime of Youth music festival is supposedly a rain or shine event, and that will likely be put to the test on Saturday. With several inches of rain in the forecast, it’s going to be a muddy one this year at the Washington County Fairgrounds. BIG SEAN will headline this year’s festival, with performances by Young the Giant, Whethan, Caitlyn Smith, Brother Moses, Molten Mama, and DJ C. Hadley also scheduled. Music begins at 4 p.m.

The Arkansas Spring Football Game scheduled for Saturday will also be affected by the rain. The game has been moved indoors, and is not open to the public. It will be televised by the SEC Network, however. Kickoff is at noon.

Local comedy troupe That’s What She Said will perform one of their final shows of their second season Saturday night at George’s. Here’s more info about that.

Music-wise, Jesse Aycock is in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel, and there’s a DIY show at Lalaland with Witchsister, Groaners, and Esc.

There’s a ton more below. Click around down there for details.

It’s a better than average weekend for Sunday entertainment in Fayetteville.

There’s an afternoon show at Nomad’s Music Lounge featuring acoustic performances by Adam Faucett, and local band, The Inner Party.

Russelville band Jamie Lou & The Hullabaloo will celebrate the release of a new EP Sunday night at Maxine’s. Music starts at around 8 p.m., and there’s no cover.

Also Sunday night, L.A. band Bleached is back in town for a show at Backspace. You may remember them from last year’s On the Map Music Fest. They’re awesome.

There’s more below. Do whatever you want.
