The City of Fayetteville is planning to add a splash pad at Walker Park soon, and they’re asking for public input on where in the park to locate it.

City officials will hold a public meeting to discuss this, and other planned improvements at Walker Park from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24 in the lobby of Fayetteville Public Library.

Attendees at the meeting will be able to review large-scale drawings and provide feedback on three conceptual plans created by the city based in initial input from the community.

Proposed locations of the splash pad include an area in the northwest corner of the park, in place of Ball Field 8 in the southern park near W. 13th Street, or in place of a sand volleyball in the southern park near 13th Street.

Those who aren’t able to attend the meeting may provide feedback here, by telephone at 479-444-3471, or via email at [email protected]. Feedback should be submitted before Wednesday, May 31.

If all goes well, the splash pad is expected to be open in summer 2018.
