The final concert of the SoNA season is set for Saturday, June 3 in Fayetteville.

The symphony will perform a collection of songs from classic and contemporary cartoons and comic book television shows and films with their final show, titled, Pops: Music and Animation at the Walton Arts Center.

“This highly imaginative concert takes inspiration from both classic and contemporary cartoons and comic books that have been a source of our nation’s popular culture for over a century,” said SoNA music director Paul Haas.

The show will feature songs made famous as the soundtracks from Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, and more.

A special finale is also planned, featuring members of local theatre troupe, TheatreSquared performing Green Lama, the musical action story of a pump fiction hero from the 1940s.

“I am so pleased to present Green Lama in collaboration with our friends from T2, also with Elliott Forrest from WNYC New York Public Radio,” said SoNA executive director Matthew Herren. “This is a one-of-a-kind piece with live actors, dramatic images, and a collection of music compiled and composed by Paul Haas. I know audiences of all ages will love it!”

Tickets to the show rance from $30-52, and are now on sale. To purchase, call the Walton Arts Center box office at 479-443-5600, or visit waltonartscenter.org.
