Black Apple Awards set for Friday, June 16

A local magazine will celebrate creative people from all over the state on Friday night.

The third annual Black Apple Awards ceremony, created by The Idle Class Magazine, is set for Friday, June 16 atop the Parking Deck of The Dickson in Fayetteville.

The event will include an artshow, live music, a fashion show, comedians, slam poetry and improv. Performers include Nimbus Circus, Robe Flax, SeanFresh & the Fresh Nasty Crew, PZA with Popsicle of Doom, Witchsister, Nature & Madness, and others.

Winners of an online voting competition will also be announced at the event to honor creative folks in a host of categories, including Favorite Painter, Favorite Mixed Media Digital Artist, Favorite Maker, Chef, and more.

Tickets are $30 at the door and include some complimentary beer and wine (a $50 ticket for very important people includes hors d’oeuvres). Proceeds from the event will benefit Idle Class Magazine, and The New Design School.
