Police today announced the department is conducting a death investigation after a body was found in southeast Fayetteville.
According to a news release, police were alerted shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25 that a man’s body had been discovered in the White River about a half mile upstream from the Harvey Dowell Road Bridge. Police said the man had no obvious signs of physical trauma.
The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine a cause of death and positive identification, the release stated.
The investigation is ongoing.
