Drivers in Fayetteville can expect nighttime lane closures along College and School avenues while crews work to place a new asphalt surface on the roadway.

The work will take place between 15th Street and Millsap Road, and will require lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to a news release.

The project is expected to take about a month to complete.

In January, the Arkansas Highway Commission awarded a $1.25 million contract to Hutchens Construction Company for the work, which consists of removing and replacing the distressed top layer of existing asphalt. Areas of asphalt not removed and replaced will have a Fog Seal applied to seal the surface, the release stated.
