One of Fayetteville’s favorite bands is getting back together this week.

3 Penny Acre, the band made up of locals Bryan and Bernice Hembree and local luthier Bayard Blain, will reunite for one night only on Friday, July 14 at Stage Eighteen.

The band will perform at a special Bayard Guitars presents show, Blain’s custom guitar company. The event will include a meet and greet for luthiers and guitar enthusiasts as well as an unveiling of his newest locally-built instruments.

It’s the first time the three have performed together in a while. The trio were regulars in Fayetteville for years in the late 2000s/early 2010s, before Blain decided to leave the band to focus on his luthier work.

The Hembrees have continued to perform together since then as Smokey & The Mirror, and they’ll be performing a set of those songs during the evening as well. Blain will also play a solo set at the event.

Tickets to the show are $10 (or $15 for folks under 21). Patrons under 18 will be allowed at the show as well if accompanied by a legal guardian.

Tickets are available at stage18live.com/tickets, and at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.
