Legendary southern rock band Drive By Truckers is coming back to Fayetteville.
The band recently announced plans for a 2017 tour that will bring them to George’s Majestic Lounge on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Drive By Truckers was formed by friends Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley in 1996 in Athens, Georgia. Since then, the the band has released more than a dozen studio and live albums over the years, including their recent seven song release, “Live in Studio – New York” that came out on Record Store Day earlier this year.
They’ve been no strangers to Fayetteville over the years. The city has been a relatively regular stop for the band over their more than 20 year career, and they were last here for a show at George’s in 2014.
Tickets to the show are $25-30 (plus applicable fees), on sale now at George’s ticketing site.
